Reliability and Failure Analysis Engineer (M/F)
You will be responsible for investigating non-conformities, identifying root causes, supporting corrective actions, and helping improve both our products and our manufacturing processes.
Founded in 2017, ThrustMe is a pioneering space technology company specializing in advanced propulsion systems for small satellites. We are global experts in satellite propulsion, pushing the boundaries of streamlined in-orbit mobility for the rapidly expanding satellite constellation industry. Our clients across the US, Europe, and Asia trust us to design and deliver high-performance, precision-engineered propulsion systems that push technological boundaries while meeting demanding timelines and budgets. We made history in 2019 and 2020 with the world’s first in-orbit demonstrations of iodine-fueled electric propulsion systems. Today, we are experiencing rapid growth, with over 300 systems ordered to date.
As production volumes increase, ensuring reliability and continuously improving production performance become critical. We are therefore looking for a Reliability & Failure Analysis Engineer (M/F) to join our Production Engineering team.
Every propulsion system manufactured at ThrustMe undergoes rigorous testing before delivery. Most units pass successfully through our industrial process. When they do not, we need someone capable of understanding why. As a Reliability & Failure Analysis Engineer (M/F), you will be responsible for investigating non-conformities, identifying root causes, supporting corrective actions, and helping improve both our products and our manufacturing processes.
You will work at the intersection of production, engineering, quality and product development.
Your responsibilities:
Investigate space propulsion systems that exhibit anomalous behavior during testing
Develop and execute diagnostic test campaigns to identify root causes
Analyze telemetry, test data and manufacturing records
Lead technical investigations and failure reviews
Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Support repair, rework and recovery activities
Identify recurring trends and reliability risks
Contribute to yield improvement
Build and maintain investigation and reliability databases
Your profile:
Master's degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Space propulsion, Physics, Electronics or Mechanics or any related field
More than 10 years experience, ideally in space industry or any other high-tech industries
You enjoy solving difficult technical problems.
You are naturally curious and persistent. When something does not behave as expected, you are not satisfied until you understand why.
You are comfortable working with uncertainty, digging through data, challenging assumptions and connecting information from multiple sources.
You combine strong analytical capabilities with a practical hands-on approach.
Most importantly, you view every failure as an opportunity to learn and improve.
Why join ThrustMe ?
You will have the opportunity to work on real space hardware, contribute directly to the reliability of systems operating in orbit, and play a key role in scaling one of Europe's leading electric propulsion companies.
Your work will directly influence product quality, manufacturing performance and customer success.
