Founded in 2017, ThrustMe is a pioneering space technology company specializing in advanced propulsion systems for small satellites. We are global experts in satellite propulsion, pushing the boundaries of streamlined in-orbit mobility for the rapidly expanding satellite constellation industry. Our clients across the US, Europe, and Asia trust us to design and deliver high-performance, precision-engineered propulsion systems that push technological boundaries while meeting demanding timelines and budgets. We made history in 2019 and 2020 with the world’s first in-orbit demonstrations of iodine-fueled electric propulsion systems. Today, we are experiencing rapid growth, with over 300 systems ordered to date.
ThrustMe is looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Chief Operating Officer to drive operational excellence, agile innovation, and rapid development in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. As our COO, you will lead daily operations with a focus on efficiency, process optimization, and scalable growth strategies, ensuring that each project aligns with our ambitious roadmap. You will build an agile framework across teams, allowing for swift adaptation to new challenges and a continuous loop of innovation and improvement.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocations align with ThrustMe's strategic objectives and agile methodologies.
- Establish, monitor, and report on Objective Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with the executive team and team leads.
- Optimize internal processes by fostering an agile development framework to enhance efficiency, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Take ownership of budgeting and financial performance tracking for projects, ensuring teams operate within established budgets.
- Ensure that ThrustMe's facilities—including office, production, and research and development spaces—meet the demands of our growing team, coordinating any renovations, expansions, and relocations to accommodate near-term growth.
- Contribute to the C-level governance process by participating in strategic planning and resource management discussions.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in operational management, preferably in a high-tech or manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on agile methodologies.
- Expertise in setting, monitoring, and achieving OKRs and KPIs within a project-driven and innovation-centric company.
- Demonstrated experience in managing budgets and financial performance within operational contexts.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with a focus on process optimization, scalability, and modern management principles.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally with senior leaders and team leads, fostering a collaborative and open management style.
- Ability to motivate, work autonomously, and proactively drive initiatives.
- Soft skills: conflict management, working under pressure, being passionate about innovation and operational excellence.
